🏔 Whispering Mountains Exhibition – Queenstown Central, Frankton
An award-winning interactive art installation has arrived in Frankton. Daily, now through 2 August, stroll among enchanting “talking” mountains sharing wisdom on nature and happiness. Free entry at Queenstown Central Shopping Centre. A magical, thought-provoking family outing.
⛷️ Junior Interfield Ski Race #1 – Coronet Peak
The next generation of ski racers hits the course! Watch talented youth (age ≤15) from around NZ compete in dual slalom on Coronet’s slopes. Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 July, from 8am. Spectating is free – cheer on these mini speedsters between your own runs. A fun, family-friendly introduction to ski racing.
☕ Grind & Groove Coffee Rave – Yonder
Start Saturday with a jolt of caffeine and bass. This morning dance party serves up DJs alongside coffee and smoothies. Saturday 12 July, 10am – 12pm at Yonder’s outdoor/indoor space. Free entry. Come shake your tail-feather in the daylight and energise your weekend!
🍷 Heidi's Hut Angel Hour - Coronet Peak
Experience European-style après ski at its finest! Partnered with Whispering Angel, enjoy heavenly food, drinks, and epic tunes with stunning alpine scenery as your backdrop. Saturday 12 July, 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
🍽️ Te Whenua’s Supper Club – Te Whenua Retreat
A seasonal, plant-based three-course dinner with guest speaker Chenin Madden. Enjoy soulful food and deep conversation in an intimate setting. Tuesday 15 July, 6:30pm – 9pm. Tickets $125, includes non-alcoholic drinks. Booking essential.
🪽”Send Me An Angel” - The Blue Door, Arrowtown
Charlotte Graf returns with her powerhouse band for a night of rock ballads and soulful classics. Thursday 10 July, 6:30pm & 8:30pm. Tickets $35, includes a $10 voucher to Little Aosta. Expect big vocals and bigger vibes.
Wellington singer-songwriter Solomon Crook brings soulful melodies to the intimate Sherwood stage. His new EP tour promises an emotive night of indie-pop and heartfelt vocals. Sunday 13 July, Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets $27.58 (R18). Settle in by the fire for an evening of superb live music.

Make slime, ice cream in a bag, lava lamps and more in these hands-on kids’ workshops. Running daily across local libraries. Now until 11 July (ages 5–12). Free, but booking required. Check your local branch for times.
🏃 Queenstown Parkrun – Queenstown Gardens
Join this free 5km timed run every Saturday at 9am from the rotunda. Walk, jog or run – all ages welcome. Register once online, then just turn up. Scenic, social, and finished with coffee.

A major winter storm dumped up to 30cm of fresh snow across Queenstown’s ski fields last week delivering one of the best season starts in years. Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are boasting excellent conditions and locals and visitors alike are rejoicing in the powder.
